This is how MUCH God wants you to know He cares!

In 2022, Lisa and I went to Colorado Springs. I saw what "looked" like a great deal on a motel room. It was near the airport and several of the airport motels I saw online looked really nice. This one ended up not being so nice!

​

Anyway, we got to the motel after reserving the room (with no cancellation) and the carpet in the halls was dirty and pathetic! I felt horrible that I had selected this room to save a few bucks and now my lovely wife had to endure this with me! 

​

Anyway, we got checked into the room and it was late and we were tired and so we got ready for bed. It was a bit cool so I turned on the unit heater and it did nothing! It was dead! No heat! But since it was so late, and we were so tired, we didn't want to switch rooms and move everything again, so we figured we would probably stay warm enough under the covers. 

​

Wrong! I woke up about an hour later and was shivering. I got up and put on more clothes over my pjs and got back in bed. I could not get back to sleep as I was still shivering profusely.

​

Then I suddenly remembered! We have what we speak, if we speak it in faith and see the vision of what we ask for in our minds! I had seen this in other areas of our lives before! Now, I knew what to do!

 

So, I began speaking to the broken heater and I envisioned it coming on when I pressed the button and working well and pouring out heat into our room. I got up and went over to the heater and pressed the button completely confident that it was about to work normally and start heating our room.

 

Wrong again! It did not do anything. I was completely befuddled! I laid back in bed and tried to get comfy under my covers and started speaking to my Heavenly Father. I said "Wow, Father, I was certain that You were going to make that heater start. I don't get it. I know that you love me and I know that you care. I just really believed You were going to make that thing work!

Then, just plain as if I had heard it audibly, I felt the Lord speak to my spirit and say "You silly boy, I don't need a piece of mechanical equipment in order to make you warm."

​

And within the next 60 seconds, I realized I was starting to get warmer and warmer. In fact, within just a few minutes I was peeling off the extra clothes and finally threw the covers off of my feet as I was getting plenty warm! Heavenly Father just changed my internal body temperature!

​

That, my friends, is how much my Heavenly Father loves me, and how much He loves you too!

 

But you know what, we truly do have what we say or believe. If I had not had the faith to speak to that heater and saw myself getting warm, I imagine I would have laid there all night shivering.

 

Like Heavenly Father said, He didn't need a mechanical heater to make me feel warm. I just needed the faith to see myself getting warm. I was sure it meant Abba would fix the heater, but I guess He wanted me to understand that He can answer prayers in ways we would never have thought possible! 

 

I hope this testimony has encouraged you to seek our Heavenly Father when you are in need of help too and to believe "outside" the box.
